Found in Cape Province, South Africa in dry fynbos at elevations of 900 to 1900 meters as a slender, miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a minutely and thinly hairy stem carrying 2, well spaced, broadly ovate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, to 5" [12.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
