Found in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Cameroon, Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Angola in very wet relict gallery rainforests in leaf litter at elevations around 1200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2 oppostie, corrugated margins, deep green above and purple beneath leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence carrying white and green flowers
