Found in the Comoros, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Reunion, Seychelles and Madagascar in the understory of semi dry forests or rarely in humid forests at elevations around 400 to 1000 meters as a hot to warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 3, opposite, coradte, obtuse to acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, terminal, single flowered inflorescence
