Found in southern Cape Provine South Africa on clay and granite soils at elevations of 20 to 210 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2 cauline, alternate, elliptic to subrotund, sometimes pubescent on margins and beneath leaves that blooms in the late winter on a terminal, erect, pilose, single to 3 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute, pubescent bracts and carries sweetly scented flowers
