Found in Victoria, Australia at elevations of 10 to 30 meters in grasslands and among rocks in basalt outcroppings as a small sized, densely clumping, cold growing terrestrial with 3 to 7 leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 2.4 to 8" [6 to 20 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with semi-nodding flowers that do not open well.
