Found in New South Wales Australia on slopes and flats in grassy patches in open forests at elevations of 200 to 300 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with 1 to 2 folded leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence
