Found in New South Wales Australia as a small to medium sized, deciduous, cold growing terrestrial species found in moist grassy flats and slopes near streams at elevations of 1050 to 1200 meters with 3 to 6, tufted, conduplicate, straight, linear leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6 to 14" [15 to 35 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence.
