Common Name The Shining Lip Diuris - The Nanny Goat Orchid
Flower Size 1 to 1.4" [2.5 to 3.5 cm]
Found in Western Australia at elevations of sea level to 250 meters in winter wet depressions, and swamps as a small to just medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a slender stem with 1 to 2, linear-lanceolate, lower one similar to the leaves bracts and carrying 3 to 8, narrowly linear, spirally twisted leaves and only blooms after a fire has swept by in the spring on an erect, 8 to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence with loosely sheathing floral bracts.
