Found in New Guinea in hot plains at the mountains foot at elevations around 150 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with widely spaced, cylindrical, branching stems carrying a single, very slender leaf that blooms in the spring on a pendent, 3 to 5" [7.5 to 12.5 cm] long, laxly several flowered inflorescence
