Common Name Susi's Domingoa [Daughter of the author current]

Flower Size

Found in the Dominican Republic on the banks of arroyos at elevations around 1100 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte that is a natural hybrid between Domingoa haematochila and D nodosa.

"Differs from D haematochila in the petals that do not embrace the column and has much more noticible stripes. From D nodosa it differs in the green color of the flower and the narrower petals and wider hooded column. It has a very attractive flower and the successive nature of the inflorescence is in its favor." Donald Dod 1978
