Common Name Tobar's Dracula [Ecuadorian Orchid Enthusiast and Collector of species Current]
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm] wide
Found in Esmeraldas province of Ecuador at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramiocauls enveloped by a loose tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, thinly coriaceous, elliptic, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an ascending to suberect, sparsely bracted above, several towards the base, peduncle to 4" [10 cm] long, arising from the base of the ramicaul, loose, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with infundibular, acute floral bracts.
