Found in New Zealand in lowland to subalpine forests on trees and rocks as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a few, glossy leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, short, paniculate, 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence holding the flowers under the leaves
