Found in Minas Gerais Brazil at elevations of 200 to 400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an erect ramicaul carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, semiterete, light green irregularily dotted purple, elliptic, notched apically, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a short single flowered inflorescence at about 1/3 leaf height.
