Found in Colombia and Amazonas department of Peru at lower elevations as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, thin, loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly elliptic, semiterete, obtuse, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a congested, very short, successively few flowered inflorescence with a bract and a thin floral bract.
