Found in Venezuela, Guyana and northern Brazil in boggy ground at elevations of 1350 to 2400 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a smooth, terete, pale green stem carrying fleshy, rather soft, pale green, elliptic, tapering at both ends, acute, concave, well spaced up the stem, conduplicate below intothe clasping base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, occasionally branched, 3" [7.5 cm] long, successively flowering, several flowered inflorescence
