Found in New Caledonia at elevations around 450 to 1000 meters as a medium to large sized, warm growing terrestrial or lithophyte that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, terminal, 20 to 28" [50 to 70 cm] long overall, rachis to 6" [15 cm] long, many flowered inflorescencce.

Similar to E valida but this one differs in having a wider column.
