Found in southern montane Colombia and northern Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a fan of about 5, varying sized, narrowly lanceolate, acute, articulate to the leaf sheaths below leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, 4" [10 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
