Common Name or Meaning The Purple Elleanthus

Found in Cundinamarca department of Colombia as a cool growing terrestrial with an erect, rather stout, unbranched, lewafy in the upper part stem carrying lanceolate, narrowly lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acuminate to long-acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 1.6" [4 cm] long, subdensely several flowered inflorescence with purple,subequalling to equalling the flowers floral bracts and carrying pinkish-white flowers with the sepals often purple.

"Separated by the well separated lip calli, minutely denticulate lip margins and an inflorescence arising on a leafy stem.
