Found in Zamora-Chinchipe province of Ecuador and Junin department of Peru at elevations of 450 to 1600 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, approximate stems carrying 4 to 6, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, coriaceous leaves that blooms in the fall and early winter on a terminal, erect, subsessile, more or less conical, densely many [10 to 15] flowered inflorescence with coriaceous, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate 4 times longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying fragrant, orange flowers.
