Found in Aragua state of Venezuela at elevations above 1000 meters as a large to giant sized, cool growing terrestrial? with an erect, branched, each branch 3 to 4 leaves and carrying lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, subacuminate, subplicate, coriaceous, leaves that blooms on a terminal, sessile, to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, rachis fractiflex, loosely few flowered inflorescence with ovate-cucullate, acute, rigid, lepidote, twice as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying glabrous, rose colored flowers.
"Somewhat similar to E decipiens but differs in the loosely, few flowered inflorescence, rose colored flowers and glabrous sepals. It is similar in flower color to E kermesinus but has a different lip form." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
