Common Name The Brazilian Ellanthus
Found in the Organ mountains of Brazil and Bolivia? at elevations of 700 to 1750 meters as a large to giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or occasional epiphyte or lithophyte with erect, cane-like stems carrying alternate, dark green, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, to 25 flowered inflorescence carry flowers in a sticky gel.
Distinguished by the lip longer than wide and the lip calli decurrent onto the disc and serrate lip margins
