Common Name The Large Flowered Elleanthus

Flower Size

Found in Cauca department of Colombia without locational data as a medium sized terrestrial with erect, rigid, simple, terete, laxly 3 to 4 leaves in the upper part stem carrying elliptic-lanceolate, obtuse, suberect, rigid, glabrous, cuneate below into the base leaves that blooms on a to 3.2" [8 cm] long, rachis fractiflex, loosely few flowered inflorescence with oblong, acuminate, rigid floral bracts.

"An enigmatic species only known foom the type collection. Somewhat similar to E ensatus but has twice larger flowers and differences in the details of the lip."
