Found in Norte de Santander department of Colombia at elevations around 1300 meters as a large to giant sized, cool growing terrestrial? with erect, stiff, leafy above stem carrying lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, long acuminate leaves that bloosm on an erect, 4" [10 cm] long, terminal, axis glabrous, desnsely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate-ovate to ovate, acute, glabrous, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
Characterized by the rather robust habit, large leavews and relatively small flowers with glabrous sepals. The lip is concave in the basal half with an erose apical margin." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
