Found in Costa Rica without locational data as a medium sized terrestrial? with erect, delicate, leafess below, leafy above stem carrying 6 to 8, lanceolate to narrowly-lanceolate, long acuminate, stiff leaves that blooms on an erect, 1 to 1.4" [2.5 to 3 cm] long, terminal, subtended by a long spathe, subdensely several flowered inflorescence with glabrous, much longer than the flowers floral bracts.

Similar in size to E crinipes but this one is distinguished by the leaf sheaths being adpressed to the stem and approximate lip callii." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
