Common Name Linden's Elleanthus [Belgian Plant collector 1800's]

Found in Distrito Federal of Venezuela, Caldas and Santander departments of Colombia at elevations around 1500 to 2100 meters as a medium to just large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with erect, branching, gathered in fasciles, branches 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long, stems carrying 4 to 6 per branch, lanceolate, linear-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, acute to acuminate, coriaceous leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, to .6" [1.5 cm] long, densely several flowered inflorescence.

"Similar to E bractescens but the lip is shorter than wide and similar to E aurantiacus but differs in the reniform, transversely elliptic to suborbicular lip vs round -obovate above saccate base lip in E aurantiacus. E lindenii has the lateral sepals keeled towards the apex versus in E bractescens the keel is on the outer surface and is entire. E lindenii has the lip bilobed apically with iregularly and minutely dentate margin versus the margin fimbriate above the middle in E aurantiacus." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
