Found in at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters as a miniature to medium sized, warm to cool growing, densely caespitose terrestrial with simple, erect, thin, basally naked, apically leafy stems carrying membraneous, plicate, linear, more or less unequally tridenticulate to acute leaves that blooms on a spicate, .4 to 2" [1 to 5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
