Common Name Lojtnant's Elleanthus [Swedish Botanist and plant collector in Ecuador current]

Flower Size

Found in Costa Rica without locational data as a small sized orchid with erct, slener, delicate, leafy above the base stem carrying linear, suberect, apically tridentate with the mucro exceeding the lateral teeth leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, dense, distichous, .48" [1.2 cm] long, rachis fractiflex, glabrous, to about 10 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, cymbiform, glabrous, more than twice as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying small flowers.

"Similar to E tillandsioides but differs in the obtriangular-flabelliform lip, the margins are irregularily and deeply lacerate, the calli are very small and obscure and have a transverse ridges in fornt of each calli." Szlatchetko & Kolanowska 2023
