Common Name The Slender Elleanthus

Flower Size .24" [6 mm]

Found in Tachira, Sucre and Zulia states of Venezuela, and Cauca and Nariño departments of Colombia along streams and rivers on steep slopes at elevations around 2000 to 3400 meters as a just small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with slender, erect, unbranched stems carrying lanceolate, narrowly lanceolate to linear-lancelate, acute to acumiante, glabrous , plicate leaves that blooms in the winter and again in the summer on a terminal, erect, 1" [2.5 cm] long, subdensely 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute, glabrous, twice or more as longa s the ovary floral bracts.
