Found in Ecuador at elevation around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying distichously arranged, equitant, articulate with the sheaths, basally imbricate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, flattened, twice as long as the leaves, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, 7 to 11 flowered inflorescence with acuminate, equal in length to the glabrous peduncle floral bracts.
