Found in Zamora Chinchipe Ecuador at elevations around 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying distichously arranged, equitant, articulate with the sheaths, basally imbricate leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, arising from the base of the apical leaf, twice as long as the leaves, peduncle, terete, glabrous, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, 7 to 13 flowered inflorescence.
