Found in Amazonas department of Colombia as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, basal,obliquely oblong-elliptic to oblanceolate, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later summer on an erect, terminal, 28 to 36 cm] long, provided with 4 to 7 cauline sheathing bracts, rachis 4.8 to 6.8" [12 to 17 cm] long, 8 to 12 flowered inflorescence with obliquely ovate-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, a bit longer than the ovary floral bractsand carrying greenish white flowers witha light reddish ovary.
