Found in southern Brazil and Misiones Argentina in primary forests and dense secondary forests at lower elevations as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with 1 to 2, erect, basally rose to whitish becoming greenish, dark green with isolated spots, elongate petiolate leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, pubescent inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
