Found as an medium sized, cold growing epiphyte in Mexico at elevations of 2100 to 2600 meters in wet mixed forest or cloud forests withovoid, clustered pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 3, apical, elliptic-oblong, broadly acute leaves that will bloom in the spring till summer on an apical, 16" [40 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers.
