Common Name Chapada dos Viadeiros Encyclia [A Brazilian Table Mountain]

Flower Size 3/4" [2 cm]

Found in Goias state of Brazil at elevations of 900 to 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte occuring on rock outcroppings where it is endangered with oblong-elongate, brownish green pseudobulbs with basal, evanescent sheaths carrying 2 to 3, apical, coriaceous, smooth, lanceolate, acute, greenish-brown leaves that blooms in the late spring through summer in nature on a 20" to 3'4" [50 to 100 cm] long, racemose, several to many [7 to 15] flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
