Common Name Huebner's Encyclia [German Orchid Collector in Colombia early 1900's]

Flower Size

Found Venezuela and in northern Amazonas state of Brazil at elevations around 1500 meters as a cool growing epiphyte that blooms in the late winter and early spring.

Withner states that this species has a white lip, an auriculate column and an obovate lip midlobe with an emarginate apex and verrucose thickened veins

CAUTION I have no way of verifying this determination so please use with caution!

Kew puts this one as a synonym of Encyclia granitica
