Common Name Ibanez's Encyclia [Guatemalan Orchid Enthusiast Helmuth Ibanez current]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala at elevations around 1300 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with orbicular-oval pseudobulbs carrying 1 to apical, linear, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 8" [20 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence carrying flowers with brown sepals and petals amd a yellow lip with a purple keel.

Similar to E aenicta but differs in the prominent central teeth of the column.
