Common Name The Spotted Encyclia

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

This species is spring to summer blooming with an apical, 2 1/4" to 8" [6 to 20 cm] long, few to many [3 to 20] flowered, erect, racemose inflorescence with non-resupinate, successive opening, fragrant flowers that is a medium sized epiphyte found in pine and oak or mixed forests at altitudes of 1400 to 2400 meters in Mexico with loosely clustered, conical-ovoid to fusiform-ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, topwards the apex, elltpic to oblong-ligulate, obtuse or acute leaves.
