Found in Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais near Serra da Canastra, Rio de Janiero, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catalina state Brazil as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte on tree trunks in open forests with narrowed, conical-oblong, clustered pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical leaves and blooms on a terminal, 12 3/4" [32 cm] long, racemose, many flowered inflorescence.
