Common Name or Meaning The Few Flowered Encyclia

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in rain forests at elevation sof 500 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with pyriform pseudobulbs enveloped by scarious sheaths in youth and carrying two, coriaceous, smooth, oblong-lanceolate, cymbidiform leaves leaves that blooms in the Brazilian spring [December] on a terminal, erect, provided with lanceoalte, clasping bracts, racemose, rarely with lateral panicles, 10.4" to [26 cm] long, 7 to 10 flowered inflorescence with triangular, much smaller than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying well spaced flowers.
