Common Name or Meaning The Plum Tree Encyclia [refers to the flowers color]

Found in Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Panama at elevations of 1000 to 2100 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with cylindric to narrowly ovoid psuedobulbs carrying a single, apical leaf and blooms on a terminal, few [3 to 4] flowered inflorescence occuring in the fall through spring with non-resupinate flowers.
