Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in dry and well lit forests at elevations around 450 meters as a natural hybrid between Encyclia gallopavina and #Encyclia kundergraberi that is a medium szied, hot growing epiphyte with pyriform pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, rigid, coriaceous, linear, acuminate leaves taht blooms in the spring on an apical, erect, paniculate, to [110 cm] long, simultaneously many flowered inflorescence.
