Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 750 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with simple, cane-like, terete, slightly laterally compressed, erect, straight stems carrying about 3 to 13, all along the stem, alternate, articulate, suberect, coriaceous, elliptic, acute to obtuse, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on a terminal, arching, elongate, 1.2 to 14.4" [3 to 36 cm] long, including the rachis .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, successively 2 to 3, to 8 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe.
