Found in Papua New Guinea in upper montane forests at elevations of 1100 to 2300 meters as a small to just medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte on moss covered tree trunks with pendulous to erect, cyclindrical, laterally compressed psuedobulbs with one, erect, lorate-ligulate, obtuse leaf which blooms in the fall with a short, slender, fasciculate inflorescence with 6 to 15 flowers .
