Found in Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio do Sul states of Brazil as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with thin, cane-like stems carrying alternate, linear, acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, shorter than the leaves, simple, few flowered inflorescence
