Common Name The Ribbed-Lip Epidendrum

Flower Size

Oaxaca Mx., 2103m elev., Puerto Escondido Rd. epiphytic on large oaks growing with Epidendrum oaxacanum and blooms in the later summer and early fall on a terminal, racemose, few to several flowered inflorescence with successive opening flowers.

Closely related to E guerrerense, E hueycantenangense, which has the lip obscurely lobed Epidendrum mixtecanum , and E oaxacanum, which differs in the lateral lobes of the lip with margins entire and the yellowish-green flowers.
