Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in northern Venezuela on branches of stunted trees at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a branching, repent rhizome giving rise to sub-pseudobulbous, articulate bases carrying mostly 2, highly variable in size and shape, suborbicular to elongate, moderately fleshy to very fleshy, medium green to brown green to greeny purple with age, finely sulcate above, angled rather than keeled as well as sometimes purple beneath leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a terminal, successively single, sometimes with a 2 flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the young leaf.
