Found in Espirito Santo, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Parana and Santa Catarina states of Brazil at elevations around 780 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing, subcaespitose epiphyte, lithophyte or terrestrial with basal, robust, cylindrical, basally thin stems carrying towards the apex, deciduous, alternate, dark-green, linear-lanceolate, stiff, mildly keeled, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter on 1 to successively 3, terminal, slightly pendulous, short, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence carrying sessile flowers.
