Found in Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations of 200 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with dark green, erect stems carrying 3 to 5 alternate, lanceolate, dark green, papery, lightly keeled leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, short, racemose, 1 to several flowered inflorescence arising on both leafless and leafy canes.
