Found in Espirito Santo?, Rio de Janiero, Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations around 700 to 800 [1600 to 2000] meters as a small sized, warm [cool] growing, caespitose epiphyte with cane like stems that are slightly compressed towards the apex and carrying, 3 to 5, lanceolate, held towards the apex of the stem, acute, acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall through early summer on a terminal, erect, much shorter than the leaves, densely 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers.
