Found in Sumatra at elevations of 1550 to 3400 meters as a cool to cold growing [reddish flowers] epiphyte or lithophyte [white flowers] with long creeping, branching rhizomes with .8 to 1.12" [2 to 2.8 cm] between each shortly and obliquely ovoid, angular, shiny pseudobulb carrying 2, terminal, oblong, a little narrowed towards the apex, unequally bilobed leaves that blooms in the late winter through summer on an axillary, very short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
